New Image for Sign Supplies
On April 7th Sign Supplies Ltd, New
Zealand’s most trusted supplier to the Sign, Print
and Display industry, will rebrand including a
change of name.
Signwriters Supplies will change its name to Sign
Supplies Ltd and will introduce a new corporate
image starting with the logo included in this
article.
The Company began supplying the industry in 1982
and was incorporated into a Company in 1985. Sign
Supplies Ltd now employs 18 people and has expanded
to include branches in Auckland, Wellington and
Christchurch.
As the leading supplier to the industry, Sign
Supplies Ltd has five product segments: Graphic
Vinyl, Digital Print Media, Display Equipment,
Engraving & Permanent Marking and Paint Products.

represent the company in the market and the previous
logo and company image were over 15 years old so it
was necessary to modernise and update.
Johnny
Mac Champion Again!!
John McIntyre has clinched the NZV8 title for the second year in a row.
The championship is over yet one round remains at
the Hamilton 400 as a support race for the V8
Supercars.
Since
our last newsletter reached you in February, there
has been 3 more rounds of the NZV8 Championship. The
JMR Team began that period leading the championship
and looking to consolidate or extend this lead.
Round 4 saw John and his team heading to Manfield.
John finished 4th in the first race before placing
2nd in the second race less than a second behind the
winner. In the final reverse-grid race John started
from near the back to finish 7th. These results saw
John on the podium again with a 3rd overall for the
weekend.
Next round was at Timaru. The weekend got off to a
good start with the JMR car finishing a close second
in the first race. John stepped it up a peg in the
second race and no other driver could keep up as he
blitzed the field by a big margin of 7 seconds. With
good points already for the round John could afford
to be conservative in the final reverse-grid race
and finished 13th and ahead of his nearest rival.
This gave the round win to Johnny Mac and set the
team up with a good lead heading into the final
round at Teretonga.
The round at Teretonga was almost a disaster for the
JMR team. John recorded his first ever Did Not
Finish in the NZV8s as engine failure saw them fail
to complete the race. The team worked hard overnight
and had a new engine in the car for the next race
where John started from last on the grid and drove
conservatively to finish 15th.
The last race was the reverse grid race and starting
from near the front the field had no chance to catch
Johnny Mac who streaked away and won the race easily
and in the process clinched the NZV8 Championship
title.
Final points were 1004 to John, ahead of Angus Fogg
in his Falcon with 977 points and Kayne Scott with
932 points, also in a Falcon, completing a Ford top
3 for the season.
From all the team at Sign Supplies we would like to
say a big CONGRATULATIONS to John and his team for a
thoroughly deserved second NZV8 Championship win.
